2024 is drawing to a close, and – WOW! – what a remarkable journey it’s been… a year filled with challenges, opportunities, progress, and achievements.
First and foremost, I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all our B2K stakeholders. To our loyal customers, your unwavering support through this challenging year has been humbling and hugely appreciated.
To our partners and suppliers, thank you for your continued collaboration, which has been invaluable in navigating this year’s opportunities and hurdles. To our amazing team, your dedication and contributions continue to drive B2K forward, bringing our vision to life. We couldn’t do it without you.
To say the year has been busy would be an understatement! It’s been a whirlwind of activity for all of us at B2K and we’ve made significant progress in enhancing how we serve our customers.
SPOTLIGHT
- We have set up two new distribution hubs – in Nelspruit and the Vaal – and are busy with the launch of the Welkom branch, with more on the horizon in 2025.
- The warehouse facilities at our Germiston head office have been expanded, we’ve launched a new and improved premises in Gqeberha, and a major relocation in Cape Town is set to be completed in early 2025.
- Launching our new B2K branding reflects our evolution into an even more dynamic distributor of bearings and power transmission products and services.
- We were delighted with the successful integration of the IWIS chain product range, which has strengthened our power transmission lineup. More additions are planned for 2025. Watch this space!
- The launch of the B2K Engineering Workshop—your one-stop hub for custom manufacturing, re-engineering, and cutting-edge solutions.
- We’re also proud to have maintained our B-BBEE Level 1 accreditation, a testament to our commitment to continuous improvement and inclusivity.
This year hasn’t been without its trials
From global uncertainties – including war and supply chain difficulties – to local economic pressures, we’ve weathered the storm by focusing on new markets, continuously improving our systems and providing better value for our customers overall.
We also launched our new consignment stock management system, revolutionising inventory transparency and replenishment. In addition, we’re busy working on our proof of delivery system, which will significantly improve document control.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Our commitment to the community remains unwavering. In 2024, we continued supporting impactful organisations like Men and Women Against Child Abuse, the Bokamoso Education Trust, and the Matthew 25 Project.
LOOKING AHEAD
The year ahead promises even more opportunities as we prioritise:
- Enhanced customer service and product availability.
- Expanded training initiatives through our B2K Training Academy.
- Strengthened collaboration with customers, suppliers, and our team.
- The introduction of carefully selected new products to enrich our portfolio.
I am endlessly grateful and proud of the B2K team’s passion and hard work. I also deeply appreciate our suppliers’ support. To our customers, you inspire us daily to deliver excellence.
