For over 15 years Bearings 2000 has been producing B2K branded products. These products are manufactured primarily for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) customers who require consistent quality at a competitive price point. Included in the range of products offered by B2K are the plummer block housings complete with bearings and components.

The B2K range of housings and bearings is specifically manufactured to reduce the total cost of ownership (TOC) when installed on conveyor pulleys used in mines and large industrial machinery. This offers the optimal balance between life span, cost and reliability. 

Availability 

There is an increased lack of availability of plummer block housings in South Africa and lead-times for production from overseas are long and unreliable, causing projects to be delayed. An advantage of using B2K plummer block housings are that they are readily available in stock locally. 

This is also coupled with the high price of premium products, which results in increased maintenance and project costs, particularly in the tough economic climate currently facing South Arica.

Design and quality control

During the past years, the development and research alongside world-leading conveyor pulley manufacturers has helped deliver a superior quality range of housings and bearings. 

We have enhanced the design, materials, precision of machined surfaces and quality control processes to develop the B2K range into what it is today. 

Quality control is at the core of the development of the B2K housings. This includes factory visits and audits, quality control during and after the production process, as well as a final inspection upon arrival at our warehouse in South Africa. 

Reliability and operating life

Customers who have made the change to the B2K range have reported increased reliability and longer operating life as a result of consistent quality and design. All whilst benefiting from an excellent cost to performance factor.

The housing comes with a 12-month limited warranty from installation.

Range

The B2K range includes SNU and SD design plummer block housings from shaft size 40mm to 360mm. 

A variety of self-aligning ball bearings and spherical roller bearings are available with adapter sleeves to suit housings. Sealing options include labyrinth seal, rubber seals and taconite seals.

Housings above shaft size 360mm and take-up units are available to order.
